WONDER WOMAN V1 (#1-40)

Published concurrently with her run in Sensation Comics (an anthology title where she was the star character) and Comic Cavalcade (where she starred alongside Flash and Green Lantern while the title was still a superhero comic, from 1942-1948), volume one of Wonder Woman ran from 1942 all the way up to February 1986, when Crisis on Infinite Earths stopped publication with issue #329.

I am still trying to figure out the demarcation between Golden Age and Silver Age Wonder Woman, but these issues are definitely Golden Age.

I’m now Captain America and Wonder Woman.  Awesome.  I would, undoubtedly, start my day by waking up around Dawn.  Cap would go for a run around Manhattan while Wondy would partake in her morning prayers.  They’d rendezvous for an 8:30am breakfast, prepared by Cap, on the terrace.  Wondy and Cap would coordinate JLA/Avengers business — and find a way to pass off all the responsibilities to Luke Cage and Superman for the day.  Then, escape in the Invisible Jet to tour some remote part of the world we hadn’t seen yet.  Find a dive bar and get into a bar fight.  Maybe stop some injustices along the way.  By the end of the night, Diana would make Steve smile; in return, she’d make him blush.  It’d be awesome.

I don’t watch this show.  I don’t want to watch this show.  But I will forever reblog Wonder Woman and that sentiment.  (I will watch it when Cassie or Donna show up.)
